- BBB and Eckert & Ziegler AG launch Forschergarten project

- Procurement of federal grants to interlink local players within the framework of the InnoRegio initiative “Berlin-Buch Health Region“
- BBB is co-initiator and shareholder of the regional management: Berlin-Buch Management GmbH.

- Completion of the second IGZ construction stage: the Otto Warburg Building and the Karl Lohmann Building
- Organization of the first Long Night of the Sciences – an annual visitor attraction
- Integration of the campus communication infrastructure into the gigabit science network G-WiN
2000:
- BBB takes over responsibility for property management and for strategy development of optimal campus management
- Modernization of the infrastructure on campus: district heating and water utility lines, cafeteria
1999:
- Opening of the Life Science Learning Lab as one of the first labs for middle and secondary school students in Germany
- Launch of the InnoRegio initiative “Berlin-Buch Health Region”

- Completion of the first construction stage of the Innovation and Incubation Center (IGZ): renovation and conversion of the Oskar and Cécile Vogt Building and the Life Science Learning Lab; construction of the Erwin Negelein Building

- Launch of the model project “Promotion of the Berlin-Buch Region” within the framework of the European Social Fund (ESF), which continued until June 2008
- Campus communication infrastructure links up with the broadband science network B-WiN
