Second economic stimulus package

BBB Management GmbH is currently realizing two projects under the second economic stimulus package of the federal government of Germany. Both projects are co-financed by the state of Berlin.

Construction work on the roads of the Berlin-Buch campus will be conducted to improve the direct bus connection between the campus and the local S-Bahn station (project number 10FE0006). The intensive use in recent years makes it necessary to completely renew large parts of the road surface, rain sewers and gullies as well as street lamps. The required measures which cost 500.000 euros are to a hundred percent covered by the second economic stimulus package and will be completed by the end of April 2010.

The Life Science Learning Lab .Gläsernes Labor. will receive 385.000 euros from the second economic stimulus package to reconstruct the heritage-protected building by modern energetic standards after ten years of continuous usage (project number 10/Campus/1). During the summer holidays a chemistry lab for schools with focus on natural product chemistry and drug development will be established. Furthermore, the exhibition areas and sanitary facilities will be improved. Environmentally friendly climate and ventilation technology will be installed in the seminar rooms on the attic floor. The construction work will be completed by the end of June 2010.
